Community workshop

Differences in the delivery of sex education by gender and ethnicity and the setting of instructions leave many adolescents living with HIV without critical information. A better antiretroviral therapy (ART) programme has improved the health of young people living with HIV by averting AIDS-related deterioration; however, sexual and reproductive health and rights remain unaddressed. The majority of HIV-related research on these young people has focused on clinical outcomes with less emphasis on their sexual and reproductive health and rights. Interactive lectures will focus on qualitative and quantitative methods of community-led models and strategies, case studies and experiences of IPPF grassroots-level healthcare providers.
