Millions of sexually active young and older African women are accessing the FP platforms to protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies while getting HIV infected; THAT is our collective failure. This session will include a provocative debate about the future of sexual reproductive health rights of Young People, in the context of the HIV response. The unmet need of the sexual reproductive health and rights of adolescents and youth, particularly AGYW, in all its diversity need to be addressed comprehensively through human rights-based integrated approaches by providing treatment (ARV) services, meaningful involvement through outreach initiatives, advocating for their SRHR, and establishing conducive environments for the promulgation of supportive laws and policies. Robust evidence findings show that integrated SRH services hold huge potential to improve HIV testing outcomes, increase consistent condom use and provide a base from which to roll out PrEP and new prevention technologies for AGYW. This session will provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of the global HIV response in advancing health and human rights of adolescents and youth, particularly AGYW, in all its diversity. Discussants will speak to enduring challenges and opportunities for adolescents and youth, particularly AGYW, with a special focus on the Global South. The session will have as a keynote speaker, The Honourable Harjit S. Sajjan, Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada. It will be moderated by Abhina Aher, Board of Trustees and Chair for the Strategy, Investment and Policy Committee (C-SIP), International Planned Parenthood Federation.
