Key populations and their partners comprise the majority of new HIV diagnoses globally. Even where the 90-90-90 targets have been reached in a country, HIV continues to thrive amongst key populations. Government and multilateral agencies continue to attempt interventions to stem this tide, with mixed results. We assert that without resourcing key population-led responses at scale, then the HIV response will always leave key populations behind. This satellite session brings together key population-led networks and organizations to articulate a vision of moving forward in the HIV response that is community-led and community-accountable. We envision an HIV response that centers our needs, concerns and visions of the future. We will address the impact of intersectional stigma and harmful punitive laws and policies, the lack of resourcing for key population-led initiatives, and the power of coalition building amongst our constituents.
